Location:

Weber Road from Normantown Road to 135th Street (Romeo Road) in Romeoville, IL.

Scope:

Reconstruction and widening of Weber Road to improve traffic flow, safety, and multimodal access.

Key Work / Improvements:

  • Roadway Expansion: Three 12-foot-wide lanes in each direction, separated by a 6’–30’ wide raised curbed median
  • Multi-Use Paths: Construction of an 8-foot-wide multi-use path and a 5-foot-wide sidewalk
  • Intersection Upgrades: Improvements at Romeo Road (135th Street) and Carillon Drive / Grand Boulevard
  • Traffic Signals: New and upgraded signals at key intersections
  • Drainage & Signage: Complete replacement of existing drainage systems and roadway signage
  • Noise & Retaining Walls: Installation of noise abatement and retaining walls
  • Aesthetic Landscaping: Enhancements to improve visual appeal and environmental quality
  • Traffic Management: Stage construction with maintained two-lane traffic in each direction; temporary signals and pavement shifts during construction
